Pony Club C Test
Congratulations to Christopher, one of our regular riders who received his Pony Club C test certificate this week. He started with us two years ago at lead rein level and now is very competent and has enjoyed learning to jump quite recently. Very well deserved Christopher, well done! We run pony club every week on a Tuesday evening 4.30 - 6.00 and hold pony club camp and day trips to events in the summer, anyone wishing to join further details are available in the office.
More new arrivals!
Meet our new youngster Liberty. She is just four years old and very green but Ryan is working on her schooling and she is showing great promise. At the moment she is quite a sensitive and nervous girl but we are sure her confidence will grow as she matures and realises she doesn't need to spook at every tiny thing!
We would also like to welcome new working livery horse Fareed, Sabrina's stunning new Arab boy who replaces her previous livery with us, Arab mare Soraya, who has gone to new owners to further her dressage skills. Sabrina hopes to compete in Endurance riding and do more showing.
Charity Ride and Coffee Morning
The Charity ride and coffee morning was a success with the weather staying fine for us and those who couldn't attend the hack still managing to pop in at the cottage later for cakes and a brew. Samantha was up very early baking the goodies and we are pleased to say we raised £180 altogether for World Horse Welfare.
While the grown ups had a natter in the kitchen the children enjoyed themselves up in the playroom once they had stuffed their faces with enough cakes and pastries!
Ava and Freya got in a bit of a twist
Almost ready for the off
Out on the ride
New Arrival
We are delighted to introduce our latest member of our herd - Rufus. An ex hunter he will be for more experienced adult riders to further their training in jumping and cross country. He arrived on Tuesday evening after quite a long drive but was very well behaved both in the horsebox and to unload - he is a real gentleman.
The horses in the yard were very interested in the newcomer but we decided to let him straight out to stretch his legs in the paddock and meet some of his new "family" over the wall.
Teaching Exam
Wishing Lucy good luck in her PTT exam next month. We know you will do well Lucy you are a natural with children and horses!
Christmas fun!
Hope all our riders had a lovely Christmas, the ponies certainly enjoyed joining in the fun on Christmas Eve as you can see! While the adults had mulled wine the children enjoyed having sledge rides courtesy of Mousie. We are back open again on the 3rd January.
the ponies looked lovely in their santa hats and all the horses got a carrot in their stockings.
